Helvetica Movie Thoughts

 The movie was very slow moving but I thought it had some good points to it. I enjoyed watching the process of how the letters and how that entire process is made and I really enjoyed watching how they created the font Helvetica and how they made adjustments to it. I loved the tech side of creating to font and watching it all come together. Helvetica is an easy font to read which is great for build boards and magazines. Something I thought was interesting about putting the fonts on magazines and build boards was how different you can make the object look just from the font, changing the tone of the 'article' and getting a different type of crowd interested in the event.

Post #1: What is Graphic Design?

Graphic Design is the combination between text and images that can be made just for fun or more for serious things such as advertising, magazines, books, etc.

Throughout this semester during Graphic Design, I hope to learn more about the art and skill of Graphic Design, becoming more creative with my ideas and going more in depth with it.

Graphic Design can be found in your every day life -- in social media, t-shirts, company logos, etc.

Some designs that influence me the most would be ones that really pop out at you and make you think, such as the example below. If they just him playing tennis, with no colors or nothing around it, it wouldn't make people stop and look.

Another design that influences me, would be this one that Caleb Bol did for a t-shirt logo. Brings me right back at home :)
